An un-remorseful pervert who groomed four “children” online has been jailed
Ronald Gorman of Balham in South London, has now been sentenced after he was caught sending sexually explicit messages to several young girls.
The court was told that Gorman had in fact been communicating with a decoy from online child protection team Guardians Of The North, who travelled over 300 miles to his place of work – Waterloo train station – to confront him.
Gorman was met in the station by the team, who presented him with their evidence.
The pervert initially denied the offences and told them he was not a paedophile, but later fully admitted grooming what he thought was four schoolgirls.
He was arrested by British transport police.
An investigation by police began, and a search of his home was carried out.
The police removed several devices and also found a stolen laptop.
The laptop was forensically analysed to reveal he had downloaded images of child sexual abuse covering all three levels of indecency, including the worst category showing children being sexually abused or raped.
Chat-logs revealed that Gorman had the intention of meeting the girls for sex, and his sexual preference was towards female children aged between 11 and 15
He was found guilty of attempting to incite female children to engage in sexual activity and possession of indecent images of children
Gorman had been placed on remand, after a warrant was issued because he failed to turn up for his sentencing.
The judge sentenced Gorman to eight months in prison, of which he must serve at least half.
Gorman showed absolutely no remorse for his actions and continues to deny that he is a paedophile
He was handed a 10-year sexual harm prevention order and was told that he must register as a sex offender for a period of ten years
Gorman was also banned from using the internet
